About

Hello, I'm Jillian and he's Jason. 

We met when Jason was in university in my hometown, became best friends, fell in love, got married and here we are. Two years later, two years wiser, lots of adventures in our books and settling into our new home, Cape Town, South Africa.

When we got married we knew we were not called to 9-5 job life and spent a lot of time seeking God for what to do and learning how to live focused on Him in the midst of it. After 9 months of marriage we set off for Europe and spent two months backpacking from Ireland to Turkey and back through Eastern Europe to Germany. It was fantastic and we learned we could probably spend everyday street walking, people watching, coffee drinking and meeting new friends. From there we went home, worked, and waited. Soon we knew God was telling us to do a Discipleship Training School together. So in Jan 2014 we came to South Africa. (much to my delight, I love South Africa!) We did our school in Muizenberg, Cape Town and did a 10 week outreach to Uganda and South Sudan. It was epic! We saw God do so many amazing things, healings and salvations and miracles. From there we got the opportunity to return to SA to work with a ministry called Bethesda House so we went home, got visas, sold almost everything and now we are back with abundant hearts.

I started blogging to keep friends and family updated while we did our DTS here in Muizenberg January 2014. I am by no means a blogger but I enjoy posting pictures and updates and although I wanted to stop once DTS was over I strongly felt God telling me to keep going with it so here I am. I plan on posting pictures from our previous travels as well as everyday life, some of my artwork, and lots of testimonies to God's goodness.
